Carolyn Yapp’s First Public Appearance Since Miss Universe Finals

Miss Jamaica Universe 2009, Carolyn Yapp, will make her first public appearance since the Universe finals last Sunday, at the finals of the Caribbean Model Search 2009 – which will be held on September 6 at the Hilton Kingston Ballroom.

Over its 30-year history, Caribbean Model Search has produced some of the top names in the fashion industry including the number one black model in the world, Jaunel McKenzie, the first Caribbean Woman to grace a Vogue cover (Lois Samuels), the first black Gucci campaign star (Nadine Willis), and Carla Campbell (the first Caribbean national to grace the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated). For the first time ever also, this year’s Caribbean Model Search finals will feature a full- figure model competition.
